Electronic Filing Season Closes for Tax Year 2007

You can no longer electronically file your 2007 income tax return. HOWEVER, you can still use The Benefit Bank to fill out your return and print out a copy to mail to the IRS.

If you used The Benefit Bank before October 15th and received a letter from us stating that your return was rejected, you can still log back in to make the necessary corrections to your information and electronically file until October 20th.

Scam Warning:
The IRS warns taxpayers about scams related to the Economic Stimulus Payment. Individuals may receive a phone call or an email with what appears to be official IRS heading asking the recipients for their personal information in order to fill out a refund form or that the IRS is requesting a bank account number from the individuals because the stimulus check has not been cashed yet. The IRS will never send unsolicited emails or phone calls, and any calls/emails received should be reported to phising@irs.gov.

I just finished electronically filing my 2007 Federal and State of Ohio tax returns using The Benefit Bank. While I am very familiar with using computers to accomplish a number of tasks, this is the first time I've ever filed my taxes using the computer.
I was very pleased with how simple and direct the whole process has been made using The Benefit Bank.
I am permanently disabled and do not drive so going somewhere to get my taxes done (even as simple as my taxes are) is quite a hassle.
This was wonderful....I just pulled up the website, created an identity and stepped through the process answering questions.
